Meet Jillian Singer, LCSW
A Word from Jillian
Many of us want love, friendship, career, success, and family, but often, some—or all— of those pieces can feel a bit out of reach. In these moments, we may start to feel stuck or worry that we’ll never find happiness. Please know that I understand, and you don’t have to go through this alone.
I am here to actively listen to your story and help you more fully process your past and present. I believe that you are the expert on your own experience, and together, we can navigate your life in a warm, genuine, and authentic environment.
I know, firsthand, how daunting it can be to think about how to make changes that will improve your life long-term. I myself struggled with the decision to shift course after ten years of practicing law to pursue a new career as a therapist. Shedding one professional identity and embracing another was difficult, but this change enabled me to honor my innate strengths more deeply and to feel truly fulfilled in my work. It brings me such joy to partner with my clients as they navigate life’s complexities and build a life worth living.
If you’re considering making a change, I’m here to help. Together, we can highlight your strengths, address your challenges, and create a plan that is tailored to your unique goals, experiences, and personality—with some humor along the way.
My approach
I provide practical, empathetic, non-judgmental psychotherapy grounded in scientific research. My approach is collaborative, and I strive to create a warm, authentic space where you can come to understand and identify the unhelpful patterns in your life and choose to make adjustments that clear your path forward.
I often work with young and mid-life adults who struggle with anxiety, OCD, panic, depression, emotional dysregulation, and impulsivity. I also enjoy counseling individuals or couples dealing with challenges in romantic relationships, love, dating, and marriage as well as adults navigating life transitions such as break ups, divorce, career changes, and early parenthood.
I am well-trained in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, ERP, and DBT, and I believe that insight, warmth, participation, and compassion are the foundation for a strong therapeutic alliance.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out for a free phone consultation so that we can further explore what it would be like to work together
